To configure device with the Android OS to connect to POP/IMAP mailbox:

  1. Open Settings on your device > navigate to Accounts > scroll down and tap on Add Accounts > from the list of all possible applications choose to add an IMAP account to your default mail application.

    Important: We strongly recommend using the IMAP protocol instead of POP3 protocol as POP3 protocol is considered to be outdated and can cause performance issues for your mailbox.
  2. Type in the email address of your POP/IMAP mailbox and tap Next.
  3. Type in the password of your POP/IMAP mailbox.
  4. On the next screen, when prompted for Incoming server settings, type in the following settings:
    • Username: Email address
    • Password: Mailbox password
    • Server: You can find the correct server setting in:
      • Account administrator: HostPilot > Services > Mailboxes> POP/IMAP, click the View Instructions button at the top of the page.
      • User: My Services > Configure Email.

    If prompted for Port and Security type, use the following settings:

    • Port: 993 for IMAP or 995 for POP3
    • Security type: SSL (Accept All Certificates)
  5. Tap Next.
  6. On the next screen, type in the Outgoing server settings:

    • Make sure Require sign-in is on
    • Username: Email address
    • Password: Mailbox password
    • Server: You can find the correct SMTP server setting in:
      • Account Administrator: HostPilot > Services > Mailboxes >POP/IMAP , click the View Instructions button at the top of the page.
      • User: My Services > Configure Email.

    If prompted for Port and Security type, use the following settings:

    • Port: 25 (Alternative ports: 465 or 587)
    • Security type: TLS (Accept All Certificates)
  7. Tap Next.
  8. Configure additional options.
  9. On the next screen, specify the Account Name (optional) and Display Name.
  10. Tap Next.

The new account will show up in the list of all accounts on this device and is now ready to be used in default mail application on your devie.
