Below you will find instructions on creating a local user for:

Windows Server 2012/2016

  1. Click Start > Computer Management
  2. In the console tree navigate to Computer Management > System Tools > Local Users and Groups > Users
  3. In Actions menu click More Actions > New user
  4. Fill in the user information and adjust password settings
  5. Click Create and then click Close
  6. In the console tree navigate to Computer Management > System Tools > Local Users and Groups > Groups
  7. Right-click Administrators. Select Properties
  8. Click Add
  9. Enter the name of the User created in Step 5
  10. Click Check Names. Then click OK OK

Domain Controllers

  1. Run Server Manager
  2. Click Tools > Active Directory Users and Computers
  3. Right-click the necessary location for the user, select New > User
  4. Fill in the user information, click Next. Enter password for this user and adjust additional password settings, click Next > Finish
  5. After the user was created, right-click it, select Properties
  6.  On the tab Member Of, click Add > enter "Domain Admins" in the field > Check Names >Ok > Ok
  7. Click Finish.
