The article describes the process of connecting your Samsung Galaxy S3/S4 phone to your Exchange mailbox.

Before you start to configure a mobile device, you should do the following:

  1. Contact your wireless provider and make sure your plan supports ActiveSync synchronization with Exchange server.
  2. Activate ActiveSync service for the Exchange user. Read the Knowledge Base article on How Ddo I Enable ActiveSync Service For The User? for more information.
  3. Make sure you can browse the Internet using the device browser.
  1. On the Home Screen of your device tap the Menu button and choose Settings.
  2. Tap Add Account.
  3. Choose Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync.
  4. Type in your primary email address and your password. If you have an Autodiscover record set up tap Next, your email account is going to be configured automatically. Otherwise, tap Manual setup.
  5. Type in the settings. You can find all the settings here:
    • Administrators: HostPilotĀ® Control Panel > Users & Services > ActiveSync
    • Users: My Services > ActiveSync. Read the Knowledge Base article Where Can I Find ActiveSync Settings For My Wireless Device? for more information.
      • Domain\Username: type in your Domain\Username. This is case-sensitive.
      • Password: mailbox password.
      • Server Name: type in the correct Server Name.
      • Use Secure connection (SSL): checked.
  6. Click Next.
  7. Accept the security prompt.


Note: Samsung Galaxy devices can create a custom Junk folder in user's mailbox. To remove the second Junk folder, do the following:

  1. Go into the Email application
  2. Navigate to  Menu > Settings > General Settings
  3. Select Spam Addresses and remove any addresses that should not be in there, such as your corporate domain.
