You can use Webmail as an interface to your email system through the web. It has all the functionality you would expect from a modern email client, address book, folder manipulation, message searching and spell checking.

Logging in

To log in to the Webmail, navigate to or use You should use your primary mailbox address to log in.

Note: it is recommended to use the link.


When you have finished your webmail session, it is essential that you click on the Logout button to terminate your connection to your inbox and mail folders and then exit from the browser. Closing down the browser window alone is not sufficient and leaves your email session still active.

Deleting messages

To delete a message, highlight it and select Move messages to trash or drag and drop it into Trash.

To purge items in the Trash folder, select the folder and apply the Empty action from the bottom of the left frame.


Items in the Trash folder can be purged automatically on logout: Settings > Server Settings > Clear Trash on logout.


Note: Compact action is supposed to permanently delete messages marked as Deleted. Since in our installation messages are being deleted right away, the Compact action does not do anything.

Creating folders

To create a new folder, go to Settings > Folders > click on the + sign > enter the folder name > Create.


Note: All folders on Postfix mail server are subfolders of Inbox.

Using Search

When entering a search string RoundCube will search in subject and from headers only by default. Specific searching is available. Just precede the word to search for with one of the following keywords: from, to, cc, subject or body or check a corresponding box.


Creating a signature

To set up a signature, navigate to Personal Settings > Identities > type in your signature > Save.


Using address book

To choose a contact from your address book when composing a message, start typing its name or address and it will show up among suggested contact:

Changing view

To change the mailbox view options, navigate to Personal Settings > Preferences > Mailbox View > change the desirable options > Save.


Changing styles

To enable styles in the email, navigate to Settings > Composing messages.

Next to Compose HTML messages from the drop-down list select Always. After the changes are saved, you will see the possibility to manage styles while composing a new email.
