This article describes the process of resetting the Office Apps password for a user.

Note: Office Apps has a separate set of credentials from any other services and is used only for the Office sign-in process. Changing the Office Apps password does not affect the credentials for other services on the account.  

There are two options to reset Office Apps password for a user:

Office Apps Password reset instructions for administrators:

To reset the Office Apps password for a user as an administrator, log in to HostPilot and navigate to Services > Intermedia Office Apps and click Reset Office 365 password.

In the password reset window, you need to specify the new password and click Reset password.

Office Apps Password reset instructions for end-users:

To reset the Office Apps password as an end-user, log in to My Services with regular mailbox credentials, and navigate to Intermedia Office Apps

In the password reset window you need to specify the new password and click Reset Password.

Password requirements:

  • Password length: 8-16 characters
  • Password complexity: Must contain 3 of the following: capitals, letters, numerals, and symbols.

Note: By default, Office Apps passwords are set to expire in 365 days and will require to be reset. If you wish to set in to never expire - contact Technical Support in order to submit a request for it.
