Summary

Yealink desk phones include a blacklist feature within the contact directory. 

Procedure

Yealink T42G & T40P

  • Navigate to Menu > 6. Directory > 2. Blacklist
  • Tap the Add softkey.
  • Using the keypad, enter a Name for the Blacklisted contact
  • Press the down arrow on the directional keypad
  • Enter the phone number to blacklist
  • Tap Add

Yealink T46G & T48G

  • Navigate to Menu > Directory > Blacklist
  • Tap the "Add" softkey or tap the Add button (touchscreen)
  • Using the keypad, enter a Name for the Blacklisted contact
  • Press the down arrow on the directional keypad or tap the Office Number field (touchscreen)
  • Enter the phone number to blacklist
  • Tap Save

When a contact number is blacklisted in this manner, the phone sends a 486 - Busy response and the phone will BNAT the call to voicemail. 

Note: there is a blacklist limit of 30 entires for the yealink devices, Yealink does this in order to consider the phone's memory, so they limit the capacity of the blacklist. To add more phone number blocks to the device, prior entries will need to be removed to add new ones.
