Your Caller ID is the number that people who are external to your organization will see when you call them. You can choose whether to display any other user’s phone number, the company’s Auto Attendant phone number or any other number from your account as your Outbound caller ID. You can also Block outbound caller ID, if you do this, your call will be displayed as anonymous. 

Note: Do not confuse Caller ID with Caller ID Name Display (CNAM). Caller ID is always a number, and CNAM is usually a short text. To change CNAM of a number, contact Support.

Changing Caller ID

  1. Log in to HostPilotĀ® Control Panel and navigate to Services > SIP-T & PBX 2. 0> Numbers & Extensions. 
  2. Click on the phone number.
  3. Then on the left-hand side select the Outbound Caller ID
  4. Select from the list of options:
  • Set to the 10 digit phone's own number
  • Block the outbound Caller ID
  • Select another number from the account
