Outlook for Mac has 2 address lists in Address Book:

  • Accountname Directory: Offline cached copy of the address list. Due to the nature of the Exchange server this might not show the recent changes made to the Global Address List
  • Directory LDAP: Allows to perform on-line Global Address list lookups. To use this list you need to configure Directory Service settings.

Address Books on Mac

To configure Directory Service:

  1. Navigate to Menu Bar > Tools > Accounts, select your Exchange account, and click Advanced button in the lower right-hand corner of the window.
  2. Specify Directory service settings:

    • Make sure that the Override default port and Login with my Exchange account credentials and Use SSL to connect (recommended) options are checked.
    • Change the port number to 636.
    • Specify Server and Search base: Type in your server and search base. To find the correct settings for your account see the following table. The correct values depend on the Exchange Domain your account is located in. To find the correct Exchange Domain, navigate to HostPilot > Home > Exchange servers and settings.

    • Important: For the search base value, make sure to replace ExchangeAccountUsername with the name of your Exchange account with Intermedia. The account name can be found in HostPilot > Home > Exchange servers and settings.
  3. Click on OK.
