Desktop clients can be updated:

Automatic Update

Windows: Updates are automatic for Windows clients versions 2.06-2.5.x without any end-user activity, in case it is compatible with current user's OS version.

Upgrading to version 3.x+ requires manual installation. If you already have version 3.x+ installed, it will be updated automatically to the latest relevant version available for download.

Mac: Updates are automatic for MacOS clients versions 2.10-2.5.x without any end-user activity, in case it is compatible with current user's OS version.

Manual Update

To manually update the client, if it wasn't updated automatically:

  1. Download the latest version from the WebApp
  2. Launch the app
  3. Follow the installer's instruction. Read the Knowledge Base articles on SecuriSync®: Windows Client Installation and SecuriSync®: Mac Client Installation for more information.

Important: Account owners receive a weekly e-mail notification with a list of clients, which have been active for the past 30 days and have not been updated to the latest version of SecuriSync.  It is aimed at alerting administrators to keep the end-user apps up to date.
