This article describes a designed behavior for synchronization of the files of a particular type.

As some files are being changed more often than others and SecuriSync keeps all versions saved on the server, synchronization of program-used and frequently changed files may cause problems like:

  • High CPU and bandwidth usage on the desktop computer connected to SecuriSync
  • Applications may freeze or crash when the database file is being synchronized with SecuriSync
  • Conflict copies may be created for files used by applications
  • Disk space usage may unexpectedly grow in a timely manner

In order to avoid such problems files with the following extensions won't be synchronized with server by default:

Note: Files with these extensions, which have been uploaded to our server before the exception has been set up, will remain on the server and will be downloaded to a new desktop clients. However, new versions of these files won't be synced with the server any longer.
If user deletes folder that contains file with excluded extension via desktop application, the folder won't be deleted from the cloud. It needs to be deleted from web acces.
