This article only applies to the accounts on Exchange 2013/2016 plan.

For the best experience, we would recommend using Outlook 2013.

There are two types of data that can be recovered in Public Folder:

To recover deleted subfolders:

  1. Open Outlook > Folder view > Public Folders > select Public Folder that contains deleted subfolder

  2. Right-click on the selected Public Folder > Recover deleted items> select data for restore > mark Restore Selected Items > Ok

To recover deleted subfolder data:

  1. Open Outlook > Folder view > Public Folders > select Public Folder that contains deleted subfolder data

  2. Right-click on the selected Public Folder > expand subfoldes > right-click on the subfolder that contain deleted data > select data for restore > mark Restrore Selected Items > Ok

Note: if your account is hosted on Exchange 2007/2010, you will need to submit an extended service request Point in Time Restore of Public Folder Data in order to recover the deleted items.
