Linksys/Cisco SPA devices

  1. Log into the Linksys web configuration page. Read the Knowledge Base article on Configuring A Linksys IP Phone Or Cisco SPA Model (Former Linksys) For Hosted PBX for information on how to login there.
  2. Click on Admin login. You don't need a password. 
  3. Click the tab Phone and type your extension into Voice Mail Number field.
  4. Click Submit All Changes at the bottom of the screen.

Once your phone resets, you should be able to click the message button and enter your PIN successfully. You may also dial your own extension and enter your PIN or call your number from an outside line, enter your extension then PIN.

Polycom

  1. Log into the Polycom web configuration page. Read the Knowledge Base article on Configuring A Polycom SoundPoint IP Phone For Hosted PBX for information on how to login there.
  2. Click Lines and select the line you are configuring.
  3. Scroll down to the Message Center section.
  4. In the Callback Mode drop-down list click Contact.
  5. Input the users extension into Callback Contact field.
  6. Click Submit.

Note:  If you are prompted to enter a user name and password and have not personalized the credentials, the following are default Polycom credentials:

  • User Name: Polycom (please note the capital P)
  • Password: 456

Once your phone resets, you should be able to click the message button and enter your PIN successfully. You may also dial your own extension and enter your PIN or call your number from an outside line, enter your extension then PIN.
