Disable-ExchangeMailbox cmdlet disables Exchange mail services for AD user. All mailbox data (emails, tasks, appointments, etc.) will be deleted.

This cmdlet supports risk-mitigation parameters.

Value of one of these parameters  can be used as Identity:

Address of the server (domain name), where the object physically exists.

Note: it is recommended to use this parameter as input to guarantee execution of operation with actual data. To get this parameter use Get-ExchangeMailbox cmdlet.

Max length is 255 symbols

Disabling Exchange service for the particular user:

Disabling Exchange service for users whose UPN starts with test:

Get-ExchangeMailbox test* | Disable-ExchangeMailbox -Force -Confirm:$false
