Your Outbound Caller ID number is the number that people will see when you call them. You can choose whether to display any other user’s phone number, Anonymous or the company’s Auto Attendant phone number as your Outbound caller ID number.

Administrator can change Outbound Caller ID in HostPilotĀ® Control Panel. End-user can switch between Outbound Caller IDs in My Services. End-user can switch between his own phone number, Anonymous and a phone number that was assigned by Administrator.

NOTE: User should be assigned at least one 10-digit number before you can change Outbound Caller ID. If the user only has an extension, Outbound Caller ID option will not be available for that user.

To change Outbound Caller ID for a user in HostPilotĀ® Control Panel:

  1. Log in to HostPilot.
  2. Navigate to Services > Hosted PBX > Phone Numbers. Click on the display name of the user in question.
  3. Click on the Outbound Caller ID number.

  4. Select the phone number that you would like to be transmitted to the called party. If you select Anonymous, no Outbound Caller ID will show up.

  5. Click Save Changes.

To change Outboung Caller ID in My Services:

  1. Log in to My Services.
  2. Click Outbound Caller ID under Voice & Fax section.

  3. Select the phone number that you would like to be transmitted to the called party. If you select Anonymous, no Outbound Caller ID will show up.
    Note: If Administrator has not changed your Outbound Caller ID in HostPilot, you will see only your own phone number and Anonymous.
