Important: this article applies only to Lync 2013/Skype for Business Server users, not Lync Client 2013.

Due to several performance and connectivity issues reported by Lync 2013/Skype for Business Server end-users, contact list auto-population has been disabled for accounts with more than 30 users. After the 30th user is added to the account, Skype for Business contact list will no longer auto-populate and new users will have a blank contact list.

Search by full email address is working and will allow you to find any Lync user in the organization:

This limitation has been implemented as a fix for the following reported issues:

  • connectivity issues
  • presence issues
  • performance issues (slowness and Maximum followers reached error)
