To set up an email account in Outlook for iOS: 

Exchange or OWA-only mailbox

  1. Enable ActiveSync on the mailbox. Read the Knowledge Base article on How Do I Activate ActiveSync Service For A User? for instructions.
  2. Find settings (Username, Server address). The correct account information can be found in HostPilot® Control Panel under Services > ActiveSync or in My Services > ActiveSync.
  3. Open Outlook and tap Get Started.

  4. Enter your full email address and click Sign In With Exchange.

  5. Enter password for automatic configuration and tap Sign In.

  6. Enter all the settings manually if automatic configuration fails.
    To specify server settings manually, click Show advanced settings.
    • Server name: your Exchange Proxy server name. You can find the server name in HostPilot® Control Panel under Services > Mailboxes > Mobile > ActiveSync page or in My Services > ActiveSync. 
      There are two sets of settings that can be used for Domain and Username fields:
    • Domain: leave it blank
    • Username: specify the full email address
    • ActiveSync domain and username that can be found in HostPilot® Control Panel under Services > Mailboxes > Mobile > ActiveSync page or in My Services > ActiveSync.

Exchange

Note: OWA-only mailbox cannot be connected to Outlook app via IMAP protocol.

POP/IMAP

  1. Open Outlook, enter your full email address and click Continue.
  2. Select IMAP as your account type.

  3. Enter credentials and tap Check to use automatic configuration.

  4. Enter all the settings manually and tap Check if automatic configuration fails.
    To specify server settings manually, click Show advanced settings.
    • IMAP Incoming Mail Server: you can find the incoming mail server in HostPilot® Control Panel under Services > Mailboxes > POP/IMAP Email > View Instructions 
    • IMAP Username: your full email address
    • IMAP Password: your mailbox password
    • SMTP Outgoing Mail Server: you can find the incoming mail server in HostPilot® Control Panel under Services > Mailboxes > POP/IMAP Email > View Instructions 
    • SMTP Username: your full email address
    • SMTP Password: your mailbox password

IMAP

Note: Outlook app does not support shared folders.
