How To Set Up Additional Mailbox

Exchange mailbox

  1. Enable ActiveSync on the mailbox.
    Read the Knowledge Base article on How Do I Activate ActiveSync Service For A User? for instructions.
  2. Open Outlook App, enter your full email address and click Continue.
  3. Select Exchange as your account type.

  4. Enter your password and a name for the account (for example Exchange) and tap Check to attempt automatic configuration.

  5. Enter all the settings manually if the automatic configuration fails.
    After filling in all the fields, tap Check.
    Advanced settings
    • Server: your Exchange Proxy server name. You can find the server name in HostPilot® Control Panel under Services > Mailboxes > Mobile > ActiveSync page or in My Services > ActiveSync. 
    • Domain\Username: Enter the ActiveSync domain in ALL CAPS, followed by a backslash (\) and the ActiveSync username.
    • ActiveSync domain and username that can be found in HostPilot® Control Panel under Services > Mailboxes > Mobile > ActiveSync page or in My Services > ActiveSync.

POP/IMAP mailbox

  1. Open Outlook, enter your full email address and click Continue
    Enter email address.
  2. Select IMAP as your account type.
    Important: we strongly recommend to use the IMAP protocol instead of POP protocol as POP protocol is considered to be outdated and can cause the performance issues for your mailbox.

  3. Enter credentials and tap Check to use automatic configuration.

    • IMAP Incoming Mail Server: you can find the incoming mail server in HostPilot® Control Panel under Services > Mailboxes > POP/IMAP Email > View Instructions (correct format is servername:port) Enter all the settings manually and tap Check if automatic configuration fails.
      To specify server settings manually, click Advanced settings.
      Ports to use:
      • POP - 995
        IMAP - 993
        SMTP - 587
    • IMAP Username: your full email address
    • IMAP Password: your mailbox password
    • SMTP Outgoing Mail Server: you can find the incoming mail server in HostPilot® Control Panel under Services > Mailboxes > POP/IMAP Email > View Instructions 
    • SMTP Username: your full email address
    • SMTP Password: your mailbox password

Notes:

  • Outlook app does not support Shared and Public folders
  • if you do not see an option to select POP or IMAP after you entered the email address, tap Question mark ? in top right corner and choose Change account provider

How To Set Up Additional Mailbox

If one profile is already added in Outlook for Android, Get Started guide will not appear. To add additional mailbox when profile is already configured in application:

  1. Tap Envelope icon
  2. Tap Add an Account

  3. Proceed on adding profile using regular steps above
  4. Additional mailbox will be listed on the left tab in Outlook for Android. To switch between mailboxes tap Accounts again and choose a necessary profile
