This article describes how to manage personal Safe & Blocked senders lists:

Quarantine Area

If User Quarantine is selected by Admin, users can manage their personal Safe & Blocked senders from within the Quarantine Area.

Users can access their Quarantine Area by clicking the Manage quarantine email or Manage safe/blocked lists buttons from any of the Quarantine reports.

From Quarantine Area:

  1. Open Safe and Blocked senders tab
  2. Specify a sender or domain name
  3. Click Add
    Quarantine Area

Notes:

  • Users can view account-wide senders list by opening the Your organisation's sender list
  • IP addresses cannot be added to Personal senders list
  • Correct syntax for Personal senders list:
    Email address - test@domain.com
    Domains - domain.com OR *@domain.com
    Subdomains - *@*.domain.com, *.com 

Mailbox level

Outlook

Users can use the Junk E-mail folder to manage their personal Safe&Blocked senders lists. 

In Outlook navigate to Junk > Junk E-mail Options > Safe Senders/Blocked Senders.

Note: Outlook for Mac 2016 does not provide Junk E-mail options.

OWA 2016:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Options> under Accounts section select Block or allow

  2. Select Automatically filter junk email
  3. Specify a sender or domain name and click '+' sign
  4. Click Save

OWA 2013 :

  1. Navigate to Settings > Options > Block or Allow.

  2. Select Automatically filter junk email
  3. Specify a sender or domain name and click '+' sign
  4. Click Save
    OWA2013

OWA 2010:

  1. Navigate to Options > See All Options > Block or Allow.
  2. Select Automatically filter junk e-mail
  3. Specify a sender or domain name and click '+' sign
  4. Click Save
    OWA2010

OWA 2007:

  1. Navigate to Option in the upper-right corner > Junk E-Mail.

  2. Select Automatically filter junk e-mail
  3. Specify a sender or domain name and click '+' sign
  4. Click Save
