A Dial Plan (Cisco or Yealink) or Digitmap (Polycom) specifies how to interpret digit sequences dialed by the user, as well as how to convert the sequences into an outbound dial string.  Albeit rare, customers configuring Cisco, Polycom, or Yealink devices, under the Anyphone BYOP method will require specific information in Dial Plan for them to successfully dial an extension number from their device.

Polycom:

The last value of Digitmap field depends on the length of the extension number on the phone:

  • For 3-digit extension: *xxx*[0-1].
  • For 4-digit extension: *xxxx*[0-1].
  • For 5-digit extension: *xxxxx*[0-1].
  • For 6-digit extension: *xxxxxx*[0-1].

Yealink:

The values of Index 4 and 5 above depend on the length of the extension number on the phone:

  • For 3-digit extension:
    • Index 4: [2-8]11
    • Index 5: *xxx*[0-1]
  • For 4-digit extension:
    • Index 4: *xxxx*[0-1]
  • For 5-digit extension:
    • Index 5: *xxxxx*[0-1]
  • For 6-digit extension:
    • Index 6: *xxxxxx*[0-1]

Cisco:
