Mobile Assistant provides a way to optimize the functionality of the Unite/Elevate UC mobile application by creating rules with predefined logic for handling incoming calls.

How it Works:

By observing how and when you make and receive phone calls, the Mobile Assistant will begin to learn your calling patterns and preferences. Mobile Assistant can then suggest custom rules that will intelligently route your calls for you depending on your location, time of day or meeting status.

Mobile Assistant obtains its important information through a combination of call history, calendar appointments and geographical location. Mobile Assistant pays attention to the little details, such as:

  • Do you always decline calls when your calendar shows you as busy?
  • Do you always call a specific person the same time each day?

Over time, Mobile Assistant will pick up these patterns and suggest new rules on how to route your calls. By accepting those rules, you can automatically get the most from your Hosted PBX service.

Enable Mobile Assistant

To enable mobile assistant:

  1. Navigate to My Account (gear icon)
  2. Select Mobile Assistant(Beta)> Mobile Assistant> click Enable.

Enable necessary permissions / notifications

The application will provide prompts for enabling Calendar / Location permissions. It is necessary to grant those permissions to make application features work correctly.

It is also important to enable the option to notify you when a new rule is suggested. This can be done through the following steps:

  1. Navigate to My Account (gear icon)
  2. Select Mobile Assistant(Beta)> click Notify me when rule is applied.

Accept / Decline suggested rule

When a new pattern has been detected, you will be prompted with a message for the new suggested rule. It will provide a description of the rule and you will have the option to accept or decline.

View all suggested rules

You can manage Mobile Assistant rules both accepted and declined, review them later and activate/decline/postpone them if necessary.
