Intermedia Unite allows to set the following voicemails:

Note: In order for callers to reach the certain type of voicemail forwarding to this voicemail box should be set up in Auto Attendant or Hunt group settings.

Note: Email notifications for Company Voicemail should be enabled for Company Voicemail to be active.

Company voicemail

You need to navigate to Voice services> Settings> Voicemail settings to set up Company voicemail.

Enter the Company voicemail settings:

  • Ext 998 is assigned to Company voicemail by default if the account has 3 digits-length extensions. If the length of extensions is 4 or 5 or 6 digits, then ext 9998 or 99998 or 999998 will be assigned to Company voicemail accordingly.
  • Greeting: Default greeting is set up by default. You can upload a new file or record greeting by the phone.
  • Voicemail PIN: If you do not know your PIN code you can contact Technical support or just reset it.
  • Operator number: This feature provides the option to press 0 when reaching voicemail to reach a phone number or extension.
  • Change how long messages will be kept on the server before auto-deletion.
  • Voicemail transcription: Check the box to enable this option. To receive notifications with the transcription on the email address, option Include voicemail transcription also should be checked.

  • Change voicemail notification settings:
    • change email address for notifications
    • Include voicemail transcription to the email
    • Include voicemail file to the email
    • Delete voicemails on server
    • Mark voicemail as read after notification sent
  • Enable SMS notification.

Auto Attendant voicemail

To set up Auto Attendant voicemail you need to navigate to Voice services&gt Auto Attendant> click on Auto Attendant's name.
Then go to Email for Voice Mail and set it up.

Auto Attendant voicemail greeting can be recorded over the phone or uploaded by Technical support.
To record greeting over the phone you need to know PIN code. You also can ask for it at Technical support.

Hunt Group voicemail

You need to navigate to Voice services> Groups> click on Hunt Group's name to set up Hunt Group voicemail.

Then go to Voicemail settings:

  • Greeting: Default greeting is set up by default. You can upload a new file or record greeting by the phone.
  • Voicemail PIN: If you do not know your PIN code you can contact Technical support or just reset it.
  • Operator number: This feature provides the option to press 0 when reaching voicemail to reach a phone number or extension.
  • Change how long messages will be kept on the server before auto-deletion.
  • Voicemail transcription: Check the box to enable this option. To receive notifications with the transcription on the email address, option Include voicemail transcription also should be checked.
  • Change voicemail notification settings:

  • Enable SMS notification.

User voicemail

User voicemail settings are located at Users > click on User > Cloud PBX > Voicemail.

  • Change email address for notifications.
  • Greeting: Default greeting is set up by default. You can upload a new file or record greeting by the phone.
  • Voicemail PIN: If you do not know your PIN code you can contact Technical support or just reset it.
  • Change how long messages will be kept on the server before auto-deletion.
  • Voicemail transcription: Check the box to enable this option. To receive notifications with the transcription on the email address, option Include voicemail transcription also should be checked.
  • Change email voicemail notification settings:
    • Include voicemail transcription to the email
    • Include voicemail file to the email
    • Delete voicemails on server
  • Enable SMS notification
  • Mark voicemail as read after notification sent.

Checking voicemail and recording voicemail greeting:

To check voicemails and/or record voicemail greeting over the phone (access to Command Mode):

  1. From any phone on the account dial *EXT
  2. When the voicemail greeting begins, press #
  3. Follow the voice prompts, "Please enter your extension, Press # when done."
  4. Follow the voice prompts, "Please enter your PIN code. Press # when done."
  5. Follow the voice prompts and select your desired task:
    • Press 1 to listen to new voice messages
    • Press 2 to listen to old messages
    • Press 3 for personal options and updating/recording your voicemail greeting.

Checking voicemail:

  • If you set up email notification for the voicemail box, you will receive voicemails at this email according to your settings.
  • Company, Hunt group and Voicemail resource box have an option to check voicemail in HostPilot:
