This article provides an overview of contacts feature in Intermedia Unite chat application.
Important: if you do not want the mobile application to populate with your local contacts you will need to decline the app access during initial installation when prompted. If you wish to do this in retrospect then you can change permissions for
Important: for accounts with Intermedia Exchange being enabled, GAL contacts are also automatically added to contact list. Company Contacts will propagate to the Intermedia Unite application, and if they have at least one phone number listed it would be possible to call them from Intermedia Unite application.
Under the Contacts you may:
- See the list of your Contacts.
Intermedia Unite Mobile App provides the following types of contacts:
Business contacts are syncing from your Intermedia account Active Directory;
Local contacts are synchronized from Contacts directory on your mobile device;
Personal contacts might be added via Intermedia Unite Mobile App;
- Conference Bridges
You might add information about your Conference Bridge and it will be stored in the app as a special type of contact.
Note: You can't add a business contact from your device. Only Admin of your Account can add/remove corporate (Business) contacts.
- Add personal contact.
- Check the information for the contact by tapping on it.
Note: if a contact has several numbers you may want to default one of them by tapping Set Primary selection on the contact information tab.
- Add contacts to favorites.
Important: contacts added to Favorites will be displayed on top of the contact list on the Contacts tab.

- Add Conference bridge. You will need to enter the following information:
- Phone Number;
- Conference code;
- Host ID.
- Call the contact.
- Start a chat with a contact.
Important: it is only possible to chat with the corporate (Business) contacts who have PBX services enabled.
- Search contacts using the various criteria: name, phone number, e-mail, department, office, etc.
