On Windows

  1. Press Win+R on your keyboard.
  2. Type cmd and press Enter.



  3. In the command prompt type ping your_domain.com and press Enter.



  4. The first line of output will say Pinging your_domain.com [XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX] with 32 bytes of data:
    The number in brackets is the IP address of your web server.

 

On Mac OS

  1. From Finder top menu go to Utilities.



  2. From opened window start Terminal.



  3. In the command prompt type ping your_domain.com and press Enter.



  4. The first line of output will say PING your_domain.com (XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX) 65 data bytes
    The number in brackets is the IP address of your web server.
