For performance and reliability reasons, we strongly recommend to avoid using MS Access databases for production-quality web applications.
Microsoft warns that Access is not intended to be used with high-stress, 24x7 server applications, such as web, commerce and transactional servers. Please refer to this articles for details:

Please also keep in mind that large Access databases (more than 5 MB) may consume Server resources too actively, and, since your site runs in Shared Hosted environment, we may be forced to stop it to allow other sites to function normally.
